Bracknagh Juniors go down fighting

September 11th, 2020

Bracknagh Juniors took on Ballyfores first team in the Junior B championship on Saturday the 5th Sept, Bracknagh fielded a team of mixed youth and experience and this was a great game of football with dillon Broderick and Colin Broderick leading the way for Bracknagh, Ballyfore always presented with a threat in front of goals with their wing forward posing the biggest threat the game was played at a high tempo and at times it boiled over, at one stage from a free awarded to Bracknagh  melee broke out resulting in 4 players, 2 from each team seeing red along. This was a turning point of the game and Ballyfore took hold and took a 4 point lead which Bracknagh were unable to claw back and in the end Bracknagh lost out on a scoreline of 2-13 to 2-7, While the lads lost out it was a spirited performance and with games against Raheen and Erin Rover coming the team are well placed to make the knock out stages of the Championship
